Cardboard, paper, magazines, envelopes (no paper or cardboard contaminated with food).
Milk, drink and food cartons, tins and cans, empty aerosol containers, plastic tops and can lids, aluminium containers and foil. Plastic bottles, tubs, trays and pots, and packaging from food, drink, cosmetics, toiletries, cleaning products, etc. (Please ensure all items are clean and food free- better quality items have a higher value and therefore cost less to recycle.)
Please do not include black plastic, thin film, carrier bags or polythene sacks.
Any glass bottles and jars – any colour. Please rinse out first. Do not include drinks glasses, window glass, pyrex cookware or crockery.
All uneaten food and plate scrapings. Mouldy or out of date food (including ready meals) removed from their packaging. Raw and cooked meat, fish including bones. Tea bags and coffee grounds. Dairy products, cheese, egg, egg shells and yogurt. Rice, pasta and beans. Bread, cake and pastries. Raw and cooked vegetables and fruit, whole and peelings. Do not include packaging of any kind, liquids such as milk, oil or liquid fat and any material that is not food waste.
Any non-recyclable materials such as black plastic, thin film, crisp packets, paper/card contaminated with food, nappies, plastic bags and plastic items other than packaging.
